Meeting with Ermina Salkičević – Dizdarević

At meeting held on June 3, 2024 members of the Initiative Women Citizens for Constitutional Reform introduced Ermina Salkičević – Dizdarević, member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina form SDP BiH and President of the Joint Commission for Economic Reforms and Development, with the Initiative and with what they done so far in order for the women to be visible in the most important legal act of the state.   

Topics of the meeting were: Constitution of BiH and requests of the Initiative Women Citizens for Constitutional Reform for amending Constitution of BiH, which form of discrimination Constitution contains, why Catalog of Human Rights in the Constitution should be expended, how to make women visible in the Constitution and what are the solutions for provision of greater protection of women’s human rights.

In addition, we introduced delegate with Recommendation of Ombudsman which states that Parliamentary Assembly of BiH should take measures from its jurisdiction aimed at using gender sensitive language in drafting, amending and translating Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Beside delegate Salkićević – Dizdarević on behalf Club of SDP BiH we also had meetings with delegates Rejhana Dervišević and Albin Muslić. Club of SDP BiH is open for all forms of cooperation both within the club itself and also in commissions where delegates are active in order to protect and improve women’s human rights.
