Promotion of the Initiative in Brčko District

Members of the Initiative from the Association “HO Horizons” and Foundation CURE on September 28, 2022 in Brčko held round table aimed to promote project “Women’s Political Activism in Tuzla Canton” and publication “Women with Political Mandate – An Experiential Handbook with Room for Additions”. In addition, this was an excellent opportunity that the Initiative Women Citizens for Constitutional Reform be presented to female citizens of Brčko District.

As an introduction of the paper and to stress out the significance of the Initiative was broadcasted short video on the Initiative and afterwards the participants were introduced in more detail with the Platform of Women’s Priorities for Constitutional Reform with Amendments to the Constitution of BiH from a Gender Perspective. Participants unanimously agreed that the reform of the Constitution is important in order for both women and men to have equal conditions for achieving their rights. They stressed that reform of the Constitution and the goal that the Initiative Women Citizens for Constitutional Reform strive for are important in order to eliminate discrimination and ensure equality in Bosnian-Herzegovinian society.
